Babies Olivia Carolyn and Chloe Brooke modeling
their new blankets that their sissy knitted for them. :)

This is my Checkered Baby Blanket pattern that I've truly grown to love! We're currently having a baby boom in our family so, along with these two buggers, we're getting two more baby girls, 1 due in about two weeks and the other in April. These two are my beautiful little sisters and the others will be cuz 3 and 4. I've finished a Basket Weave blanket for baby girl X that is going to be born in a few weeks and I'll put those pictures up when I can find them. However, this is my favorite pattern by far.

Checkered Baby Blanket

Use machine-washable worsted weight yarn, about 800 yards (731.5m)

For my light-pink blanket, I use Bernat Alpaca and it turned out soft and perfect. Also, as a plus, it's hypo-allergenic, which is just perfect for a newborn.
Use size 8 circular needles, 29 in. long.
